Meet Patrick and Amy.
Right before Covid-19 really started to take over and shut things down, I was able to squeeze in this engagement session for this sweet couple, and I’m so glad I did! Not only are they just gorgeous, but they’re hilarious and we had such a blast doing this session. Sometimes I make jokes to break the ice, and I feel like it helps people feel a little less uncomfortable meeting a stranger for engagement photos. Because really, at that point, I kind of am just a stranger. We may have chatted on the phone a few times or via email, but the purpose of an engagement session, apart from just getting great photos, is to get to know each other before the wedding day. Needless to say, there were lots of jokes made by all parties involved, and we had lots of laughs and a great time getting to know each other.
We took these photos at Piedmont Park in downtown Atlanta. Piedmont Park is one of my absolute favorite spots because it’s so versatile. There are just so many spots for so much variety in your photos. You’ve got the amazing brick steps and wall, the phenomenal Atlanta skyline, Lake Clara Meer, the gazebo, etc. It’s just an all-around great spot.
I can’t wait to shoot Patrick and Amy’s wedding later this year!
