Meet Eddie and Jenny…again.
These two are some of my favorite humans on the planet. Yes, I realize I said that last time, but it’s so true. I’ve had the immense pleasure of photographing them multiple times. Not only are they incredibly loyal clients, but they’re also loyal friends. Please refer back to ->this<- post for the last time I photographed them.
Eddie and Jenny were my first clients ever when I decided to start my business. Before I ever photographed weddings, families, babies, etc. I photographed these two people. We did our shoot at Starrs Mill Waterfall in Fayetteville, GA. I can’t believe I’m actually posting this…I also can’t believe I actually thought this was so good back then. Goodness! I’m so thankful to have grown significantly since this first shoot.
Years later, I was asked to photograph them again as they had their marriage convalidation ceremony at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Peachtree City, Georgia.. This was such a beautiful day and a beautiful ceremony to be a part of.
A few years ago, Jenny expressed to me how badly she and Eddie wanted to have a baby. Though they were saddened that they didn’t conceive quickly, we all knew that it was just a matter of God’s timing. I had been praying this blessing on them for a long time, so I’m sure you can imagine my excitement when she told me she was pregnant! I love these people. My excitement resulted in tears of joy. I am so thankful for their friendship and loyalty, and I know they’re going to be such incredible parents to this sweet baby boy. I’m so thankful for God’s promises.
Jenny was definitely one of the most stunning pregnant women I’ve ever seen. She should have been a maternity model.
Delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart.
Psalm 37:4
Look at that gorgeous hair!!! And don’t get me started on her perfect eyelashes.
She’s just so beautiful!
Jenny and Eddie were precious when I first photographed them. They were adorably spiffy in their vintage inspired wedding convalidation outfits. They were stunning together on the beach with baby Caleb in Jenny’s belly. But out of all of the times I’ve been able to photograph them, this was by far my favorite. After a difficult pregnancy, a very early delivery, a couple of weeks in the NICU miles away from home, many difficult decisions, lots of stress and even more prayers than ever before, Caleb is healthy and home with his family. His parents call him their little bee, because bumble bees technically shouldn’t be able to fly, but they can and they do. In spite of what science says, God made them the way He wanted them to be, just like He made Caleb.
As soon as I got to meet this sweet, gorgeous baby, I got a little emotional. I’ve seen a lot of babies. I’ve photographed a lot of babies, but Caleb was different. It’s one thing to photograph great friends, and it’s so great to be able to photograph all of these awesome big moments for them…but to have been praying with them for this for literally years, then to get to see the results of God’s promises–that–that is overwhelmingly beautiful, and I’m so so thankful and so happy for them. Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you baby Caleb. He is such a miracle, such a dream come true.
“I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of him. So now I give him to the Lord. For his whole life he will be given over to the Lord.”
1 Samuel 1:27–28
This sweet little baby face brings such a smile to my face, and their smiles bring such joy to my heart. What a sweet, sweet blessing baby Caleb is.
This may not be what relaxation looks like…or restfulness…but I’m pretty sure this is joy. I’m fairly positive this is exactly what happiness looks like.
This blanket was made for baby Caleb and is covered in notes of love from friends and family.
Jenny’s gorgeous long eyelashes are, once again, perfect! And can we just take a moment and notice how stunning she is! Who looks that great this soon after having a baby? She’s a total bombshell.
This precious lady is Jenny’s mom. She’s just about as smitten with Caleb as his parents are. I mean look at him. Who wouldn’t be?
The day wouldn’t have been complete without Chacho (their first baby-the dog).
Congratulations to two of the best parents on the planet on such a precious, handsome blessing. God is so good.
