Meet Dan and Ashley
They met over 10 years ago. They’re both martial artists, Zumba teachers, and INCREDIBLY fun people! Oh, what a joy they were to photograph! From karate kicks to ending the shoot with a vintage theme, we had a blast. Seriously, when people have so many amazing ideas, it just makes my job such a breeze!
Dan and Ashley are from Tallahassee, and came to Pensacola for the day just to have engagement photos taken by me. That is one of the best and most humbling compliments ever! I’m still blown away by that!
About half way through the shoot, Ashley told me she had been working on finding pieces of an outfit to put together and replicate the one from the beach scene in The Notebook. How cool is that? She asked if we had time to do a few extra photos in these outfits. Uhm…YES!! Not only did she find the bathing suit for herself and the outfit for Dan, but she even made the head band herself! I’m overwhelmed with how awesome this couple is!
I have had shoots at Fort Pickens many times, but I’ve never seen so many birds there. It seriously could not have been any more perfect for this shoot. If you’re familiar with the movie, The Notebook, then you understand why that is so incredibly cool! If not, click the quote below and enjoy the video I have hyperlinked for your reference and viewing pleasure. 😀
We couldn’t have asked more perfect scenery or a more perfect sunset.
Fort Pickens never fails to amaze me with its beauty and versatility.
I love how much Dan makes Ashley laugh!
Seriously, how cool is this?! I know I can’t do that! 😛
This is the moment Craig, the crane, photobombed. It was awesome.
This shoot couldn’t have been any more awesome.
Huge thanks to God for painting such an incredible sunset
and to the precious shore birds who decided to grace us with their presence for the night.
Also to Craig, the crane, for being awesome and faithfully attending every shoot I have at Fort Pickens Beach.
Congratulations, Dan and Ashley!
