Do you remember before this Covid-19 pandemic exploded into a media frenzy? Before the government was confining us all to our homes for safety with a shelter in place order? Before we were working exclusively from home and finding out which meetings could have totally just been emails all along? Yeah, me either.

But there was life before all of that! There is this sweet couple who, in spite of their venue closing due to the virus, still decided to focus on the important things and get married.

Meet Elizabeth and Joseph.

Their wedding was supposed to be a day filled with all of their friends and family celebrating in a beautiful venue with them. Unfortunately, this was just when the virus was making its rounds around Georgia, and venues were closing for safety. They were left with the choice to cancel or postpone their big day that they had been dreaming of and planning for. They decided to create a new option and have only their immediate families and closest friends with them to have a ceremony anyway in the back yard of their family’s home in Atlanta, Georgia. Even though the party was postponed, the most important part of the day, the marriage, didn’t have to be. Love wins, even in the midst of a virus. If you ask me, they did such a great job making everything so beautiful, you wouldn’t even know it’s not a wedding venue!
